The Kew Historical Society is pleased to announce its 2018 Dickinson Lecture which is to be presented by Dr Gary Presland, an Honorary Fellow of the School of Geography at The University of Melbourne.  F.G.A. Barnard was born, lived and worked in Kew and led a fascinating life – being a foundation member of the Field Naturalists Club of Victoria and of the Historical Society of Victoria – and a mayor of Kew in 1921/1922. Barnard was also the author of the first major history of Kew.  This promises to be a fascinating talk by a popular speaker.
