Event details
With so much information available to us, it can be difficult to know where to look and what to trust. State Library Victoria (SLV) is a destination for all Victorians who need help with research and finding reliable information.
Andrew McConville and Kate Monypenny will talk about their work as reference librarians at one of the busiest libraries in the world, outlining the resources and services SLV provides to help you navigate our world of information. They will tell stories from SLV's history, map the transition from paper to digital, and share highlights from the Library's vast collections.
Kate Monypenny is the Senior Librarian, Information Services at State Library Victoria. After working in public libraries for many years she moved to the State Library in 2017, where she loves helping visitors with finding the information they need and uncovering gems in the Library's collection.
Andrew McConville has been a Reference Librarian at State Library for 25 years. Andrew loves working with the public and with the vast State Library collections.
