It is a celebration of Boroondara’s natural beauty, highlighting 9 established trees that have been marked as significant and of special cultural value through the Boroondara Significant Tree Study (updated in 2019). The installation is an opportunity for the community to reflect on the memories, stories and secrets shared under these trees over their lifespan. Visitors are welcome to view and contribute to the installation. By sharing stories and memories related to these trees, the installation will continue to grow.  The work has been developed by local artist Emily Shannon as part of the 2020 Boroondara Arts Initiative program.  During 2020, Emily created online workshops to engage the community during the lockdowns. These simple art-making practices are inspired by nature in Boroondara. Explore the activities.
