Event details
Boroondara is teaming up with Councils across Melbourne to join the City Nature Challenge. As part of the challenge, we invite you to come along and join a morning of nature spotting on a community guided walk, hosted by Dr Graeme Lorimer!
Learn about what our Friends of South Surrey Park volunteer group have contributed to this area, and ways you can get involved. The walk will be followed by a morning tea for participants.
We will be on hand to help you spot, learn about, and record your sightings, as we focus on the amazing biodiversity in South Surrey Park!
Through using the free iNaturalist app, your sightings will contribute to the challenge. We encourage you to download the free iNaturalist app prior to the event, however this is not essential to attend the session. You can find out more about iNaturalist and how to download the app on the iNaturalist website-external site-external site.
Together, let's show the world the incredible biodiversity that Melbourne has to offer!
Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for an outdoor walk along uneven ground. Please bring a water bottle and be prepared for wet weather.

We will meet you at the seat under the tree at the entrance to South Surrey Park from Verdun street.
