However, we understand that going to a gym isn’t for everyone and can be daunting at times. We've partnered with Balwyn Evergreen Centre and YMCA to provide a 6-week fitness program for older adults. The program is designed to train your muscles to help you perform everyday activities. The program includes friendly and professional fitness instructors who will: run the exercise classes provide important health and wellbeing information give you the opportunity to measure your progress through simple, exercise-based fitness checks. This program is ideal for people over 55 years who are not already taking part in a structured exercise program. Whether it’s been a long time since you were last able to exercise, or you’re just starting out on your fitness journey, there’s something for all levels and abilities of fitness. A healthy afternoon tea will be provided after each class so that you can enjoy a quick cuppa and bite to eat with other class participants This is a great opportunity to try something new, meet new people and add fitness to your years!
