The featured artists employ various ways of using lines, continually challenging our expectations between an object and its representation. The results are experimental, sculptural, animated and altogether exciting for the eye to behold. “When I am working on three-dimensional drawings, I spend a lot of time thinking about how the drawing is creating the space around it. I don’t think of my artworks as passive objects sitting on the wall. They are active agents which produce the space around them.” - Hannah Quinlivan Featuring: Godwin Bradbeer, Todd Fuller, Hannah Quinlivan, Cameron Robbins, Carmel Seymour and Kylie Stillman. Individualism by Swinburne Secondary College This group exhibition celebrates the creativity of Swinburne Senior Secondary College’s Year 12 students of 2018. Across a wide range of mediums including photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and textiles, these artworks showcase the young artists’ reflection and realisation across a range of topics and themes. From feminism to humanity, unconscious and conscious experiences and childhood memories, Individualism takes the viewer on a journey through emerging art practice and the culmination of a year of artistic development and creation. , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
