She is Vice-President of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria and President of the History Teachers' Association of Victoria. Rosalie’s thesis, 'Our Schools and the War: Victoria's Education Department and the Great War, 1914-18', received a Mollie Holman Doctoral Medal in 2008, and the book of the same name, ‘Our Schools and the War’ was 'Commended' in the Victorian History Publication Awards, 2012.
