Viraj Salvi will open the afternoon with a vocal recital accompanied by Pandurang Torvi on Tabla and Prasad Karve on Harmonium. Vinod Prasanna will present a classical flute recital in the second half with Pranav Ramji on Tabla. This recital is presented in the memory of Deepika Shome, a much loved Melbourne based teacher of Hindustani classical music who introduced this wonderful music to an entire generation of Melbournians. Season pass For the true aficionado of Hindustani Classical Music – a Season Pass enabling entry to all 5 events in the 2023 edition of Melbourne International Festival of Hindustani Classical Music is available.
