12/08/2019 2:00pm 12/08/2019 3:00pm A Cultured Place performance Theatre maker David Williams will lead a cast of Boroondara community members as they explore what culture is, where it’s found, who it involves and how it affects the Boroondara community.  Over the past months, David has conducted interviews with various members of the community to understand their experiences of living, working and being a part of the Boroondara culture. A Cultured Place will reflect the Boroondara community’s uniqueness and begin to open a new conversation about life and culture in this place. Part talk show, part confessional and part celebration, A Cultured Place will be a truly unique theatre experience. A Cultured Place is made possible through the Boroondara Arts Initiative program, engaging and supporting artists and/or art workers to create new work with, for and by the Boroondara community. About David Williams David Williams is a theatre maker who crafts evocative performances from found materials such as interviews, archives and transcripts of public inquiries. Recent works include Quiet Faith, based on conversations with Australian Christians about religion and public life; Grace Under Pressure (co-written with Paul Dwyer), crafted from interviews with doctors and nurses about hospital workplace cultures; and Smurf in Wanderland, an autobiographical work about football fandom and belonging.  , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
