Three generations of the Mozart family in one concert!
Camberwell Chorale and Camerata Orchestra will perform the music of Leopold Mozart, his son Wolfgang Amadeus and his grandson Franz Xaver in the same concert.
Leopold Mozart’s rarely performed Litaniae de Venerabili will open the concert, and this will be followed by his grandson’s Piano Concerto in Eb, Op. 25. The soloist, Brian Luo, was the winner of the 2022 Boroondara Piano Concerto Competition.
The concert will conclude with Wolfgang’s final and most profound work — his Requiem.
The soloists, well known to Melbourne audiences, are Lauren Oldham, Kerrie Bolton, Paul Biencourt and Manfred Pohlenz.
