In Boroondara, there are approximately 3,630 young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years living below the poverty line. These talented young people face challenging financial hardship barriers, which often impacts their ability to complete their education.  That’s why the Boroondara Cares Foundation started their CHANCES Program almost 12 years ago and they’re asking for help from the community to ensure their scholarships can continue. About the CHANCES Program The CHANCES Program aims to identify talented and motivated students who need support in the Boroondara area, provide them with financial support to facilitate their studies and school experience while also providing them with a sense of achievement, which elevates their self-esteem and inspires them to maximise their skills. The CHANCES Program is now in its 12th year and has an outstanding success record at keeping children in school through secondary and tertiary education. The Program has awarded over 1,100 scholarships to secondary and tertiary recipients who complete a degree or vocational qualification.  Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club 489 Glenferrie Road, Kooyong VIC 3144 City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
