Bird watching for beginners: Aussie Bird Count

To celebrate Aussie Bird Count week, we’re inviting you to a beginners bird watching session! 

Running for one week from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 October, the Aussie Bird Count is a great way to connect with and document the birds in your local area. 

To help support the count, Life Gone Wild are running two beginner birdwatching sessions to talk about the local birds in Boroondara.

Both events are free but registrations are essential.

Wednesday 18 October from 8am to 10am

We will be on hand to help you spot, learn about, and record your sightings, as we focus on the amazing birds that call Boroondara home!

What to bring

Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for an outdoor walk along uneven ground. 

Please bring a water bottle.

Be prepared for the weather.

Where to meet

The closest public parking to the event is at Willsmere Park car park, near the intersection of Willow Grove and Wattle Road, Kew East. 

We will meet you near the Willsmere Park public toilet and walk to the location together.
