10/02/2018 10:00am 10/03/2018 2:30pm Bike School Holiday Program The Bike School Holiday Program is a two day bicycle confidence, skills and awareness training program for young people aged 13 to 15 years to prepare them for on road riding and independent travel, commissioned by the City of Boroondara and run by Bikes at Work. The program will be run on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 October. Day 1 Held in a traffic-free area and will focus on basic bike skills including preparation for riding, riding safely, safety checks, emergency stopping, using gears, scanning, signalling, riding on different surfaces, road rules & signs, basic maintenance and a puncture repair session. Day 2 Includes a component of instructed on-road training on low traffic, quiet roads, plus a basic bike maintenance session including tools, fit and positioning, detailed safety checks, minor adjustments, cleaning the bike, removing the wheel and replacing an inner tube. Day 1
