Come along to the Hawthorn Arts Centre to see a fun, bright, pompom inspired art installation by Rachel Burke (@imakestagram) and the Boroondara community. Over the last couple of months, Rachel along with members and friends of the Boroondara community have been invited to make pompoms and a wish for the future. Come and see the sea of beautiful APOMAWISHES throughout the Craft Contemporary festival; and while you are there, make one for yourself to be installed. About the artist Rachel Burke is a practicing multidisciplinary artist, designer, and author based in Brisbane, Australia. Known for her vibrant, tactile designs and iconic tinsel creations, her work is inspired by a love for naive craft materials and transforming the mundane into the magical.
