Some of our services are closed or have different hours over Easter, from Friday 29 March to Monday 1 April.

According to the Better Health Channel, up to 1 in 5 confirmed pregnancies in Australia end in miscarriage before 20 weeks.

Miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death (death of a newborn infant) can be a shattering event for parents, their families and their community.

The Maternal and Child Health service (MCH) is notified by the hospital when a baby dies and will reach out to the family to offer support. MCH are experienced in helping families through the grieving process. You can contact MCH by email [email protected] or call 9278 4606.

Grief can impact on all aspects of your wellbeing and impacts everyone differently.

It can also be very isolating as your family and friends may not know how best to support you.

Talking with other bereaved parents can be very helpful. Contact the support organisations below to get in touch with support groups and online forums.
