We support early childhood educators, committees of management and early years management to improve education and care across long day care, family day care, kindergarten and occasional care in the community.
“Quality education and care early in life leads to better health, education and employment outcomes later in life. The early years are critical for establishing self-esteem, resilience, healthy growth and capacity to learn. Quality education and care shapes every child’s future and lays the foundation for development and learning.” Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)

Free online training course
City of Boroondara has created a free online training course to help volunteers on committees of management effectively fulfil their role.
The course covers:

- How legislation aims to improve responsiveness to allegations of child abuse

Early Years Management
Some of our kindergartens in Boroondara are managed by Early Years Management organisations. Early Years Management organisations manage community kindergartens in place of a Committee of Management. Early Years Management organisations strengthen the management and delivery of programs, and provide expertise in employing and supporting the development of educators to deliver high quality early childhood education and care services.
