COVID-19: some of our facilities have reopened. You must be fully vaccinated to enter.

We host a variety of events to promote volunteering opportunities to the community.

Event details will be added here when available.

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration that recognises the many positive contributions volunteers make to our community, and is held in May.

Celebrate National Volunteer Week with the launch of our new Volunteering Directory, where you can explore different local volunteer organisations and find one that aligns with your interests, skills and values.

Volunteer Leader network meetings

Our bi-monthly network meetings bring volunteer managers of community organisations together to network, share experiences, raise issues and discuss challenges.

Find out about meetings coming up in 2021.

Boroondara Volunteer Expo

The Boroondara Volunteer Expo is held in March each year. It is a great place to learn about volunteering opportunities, how you can gain new skills, experience, and make a meaningful difference.

Connect with organisations across a wide range of sectors and causes, including:

  • community services
  • education and tutoring
  • community events
  • health services, and more.

Discover volunteering opportunities that complement your interests, what you enjoy, and any existing skills and experience you may have.

Skilled Volunteer Meet 2021

Speed-network with community organisations looking for skilled professionals on a variety of short-term and project-based roles.

Our next Skilled Volunteer Meet is Tuesday 19 October 2021.

International Volunteer Day Celebration

Hosted annually in December, this event recognises and thanks the volunteer managers and volunteers for their contribution. The Volunteer of the Year is also announced.
