Active Adults is our Older Adults Circuit class. It's high intensity and gets everyone moving by using different equipment such as steps, mats, skipping ropes, and dumbbells. You must bring a water bottle, towel and exercise mat. Runs weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - check the Boroondara Sports Complex website for the class times.

Active Living is designed for those who want to improve general overall fitness, strength, flexibility and balance.

The class structure involves warm up, stretching, balance, mild cardio and strength.

The classes are fun; there’s a lot of laughing and at the same time, a commitment to improving.

Our program for older people aim to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen friendship networks and reduce isolation and loneliness. We accept referrals from health professionals, family members or self-referral. Booking is required - please contact us to book. This program is only available to My Aged Care recipients, with preference given to local residents of Balwyn and surrounding suburbs. We can also help you get to the Centre and back home safely, simply ask about our Transport Service, available upon request. Contact us to find out more. Runs weekly on Fridays from 10 am to 3 pm.

A fun, low impact class aimed at participants aged 50+. This class consists of an aerobic component, followed by resistance work, small ball exercises, step and balance activities. core muscles. This is a water based class that is suitable for all levels. Due to the in-water nature of the class, this class reduces bodyweight and allows participants to complete movements in water that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on land.

Aqua Aerobics is a whole body, low impact conditioning workout to improve overall strength. Due to the in-water nature of the class, it reduces bodyweight and allows participants to complete movements in water that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on land. Deep Water Running incorporates deep and shallow water running with intense interval work. A great cross-training class. Runs on Tuesday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am and 7 pm to 8 pm, Thursdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Contact Boroondara Sports Complex for more information.
