We’ve recently engaged with over 1000 local businesses to find out what their current needs and issues are, to help review and inform our service offering.

Feedback was collected from businesses who attended our regular business programs and events throughout 2017/18, as well as through an online survey.

The results have recently been collated, and told us that many of our current service offerings align with the key issues important to our local businesses. We will continue to provide events and services on topics including:

  • Sales and marketing
  • Business development and growth
  • IT/online and digital marketing
  • Funding and grants
  • Networking/mentoring
  • Financial management
  • Business planning
  • Start-up advice
  • Business operations

Response to the feedback

Through the feedback we also identified opportunities to implement new services to further meet businesses’ needs and issues. In addition to our existing services, moving forward we will:

  • Commence an outreach program, where we’ll visit businesses within shopping centres with a kit of information on Economic Development programs and services
  • Incorporate more Business, Marketing, Sales and Planning topics in the 2019 Biz Blasts business events calendar

We will continue to use the research and feedback received to help inform our services over the near future.
