Coronavirus (COVID-19): guidance and support.

We are upgrading the facilities at Kew Traffic School in early-2020.

Plans for the site have been developed based on feedback from Kew Traffic School users, as well as the need to improve storage for our road safety education program.

The site will close to the public on Tuesday 28 January 2020 when works commence.

About the project

Kew Traffic School offers a high quality road safety education program to children in our community. The site will undergo renewal works in early-2020 to replace existing, aged facilities.

Key features of the upgrade include:

  • a new, larger party room with access to a covered outdoor seating area
  • a new bike storage shed with an attached maintenance workshop.

These renewal works will modernise and refresh the facilities and ensure we can deliver an improved experience at this much-loved community facility.

When Stage Progress update
Tuesday 28 January 2020 Construction Kew Traffic School will close to the public and construction will commence.
Mid-2020 Completion Project expected to be completed.

In 2019, over 24,000 children visited the Kew Traffic School. Users of Kew Traffic School told us they would like to see improved facilities, with an emphasis on the party room. Our community’s feedback has helped shape the design of the new party room.
