We are upgrading the Victoria Road Reserve Pavilion to help it cater for growth in junior football (AFL) and cricket, as well as increasing female participation in community sport.
Construction is currently underway, and is expected to be completed by mid-2021.
About the project
The Victoria Road Reserve Pavilion is undergoing an internal refurbishment and minor external additions. The budget for these works is $1,700,000.
The works involve:
- provision of 2 standard size change rooms that can be subdivided into 4 small change rooms;
- provision of First Aid Room;
- upgrade to the Umpires’ room to cater for female and male umpires;
- upgrade to existing Kitchen with internal and external serveries; and
- upgrade to the existing Multi-purpose Room.
In addition to the works above, the north east end of the rear of the building (facing the sportsground) is being slightly extended to be in line with the kitchen servery. New windows are being installed, and the existing decking that faces the oval is being extended with a new canopy.
The new design also incorporates sustainable building features, including energy efficient appliances and lighting, water efficient fixtures and fittings, use of recycled materials and the installation of a photovoltaic solar panel system on the roof.
