Do you have photographs featuring transport in Boroondara? If so, you could win some great prizes with Boroondara Library Service’s Shutter Speed Photo Competition.

Boroondara Library Service is collecting images of any form of transport in order to tell our community’s stories, increase our photograph collection and share our photographs with the wider community. They can be old photos from your family collection, or even a new snap from your Instagram!

Transport has shaped the development and social life of our city; from the early days when a punt was used to cross the Yarra, to present day scooters and skateboards. You can help tell the story of our community with your photos.

The competition is open until Friday 5 May 2017. Winning entries will be exhibited in the Camberwell Corridor Gallery from 11 May 2017, and all entries will be added to our photograph collection. If you need some inspiration, check out our exhibition of vintage transport images currently on show in the Camberwell Corridor Gallery connecting the Camberwell Library and Council Customer Service.

This event is associated with the Australian Heritage Festival 2017. Visit for entry details and follow #shutterspeed on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
