Boroondara FReeZA is proud to present a drug-, smoke- and alcohol-free music event, on Saturday 24 June 2017, 5 - 9.30pm at Kew Court House.
Created by young people for young people, The New Moon Fantasy music, moonlight and costume party is open to all.
The event features bands such as Lime Cordiale, Ghost in the Machine, TV Dinners, The Football Club, Anti$ocial and more local indie acts. Indie pop giants Lime Cordiale will be joining us from Sydney for this event only, and avid Triple J listeners will know The Football Club by their March single, Ivy.
The fantasy theme will extend across the entire event, with art installations and a costume competition - prizes for best dressed! You will also be able to relax in a chill out zone, and take a look at some cool local artwork from the community’s young people. As with all FReeZA events, the New Moon Fantasy event is supervised and the venues are safe, so parents needn’t worry.
In the past, FReeZA has put on successful events including 2016’s short film festival, battle of the bands (won by Ghost in the Machine, who went on to represent Boroondara at the state final of the Push Start music competition!), parody prom, and a laneway gig at Alley Tunes.
FReeZA is a state-wide youth development program that encourages young people 12-25 to enjoy supervised drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free events. Boroondara FReeZA is holding six events this year, and with an average of 2,200 young people attending Boroondara FReeZA events each year they are sure to be a success.
Join local and national music acts in a chilled out, safe and substance-free environment at 5pm on Saturday 24 June, at Kew Court House. Tickets $15, available online.
