On Saturday 17 September, the local community can delve into all things "green" at the Boroondara Sustainable Living Festival.
The festival offers an opportunity to learn about all of the fun, easy and practical ways you can make your everyday habits more sustainable.
Mayor of Boroondara, Councillor Jim Parke said the festival will offer a great mix of activities and fun for people of all ages.
"The 2016 Boroondara Sustainable Living Festival will feature interactive stalls on a range of sustainability topics, like growing veggies in your backyard, keeping chooks at home, worm farming and becoming smarter with your waste," Cr Parke said.
"As well as learning about all of these fascinating and simple ways you can live more sustainably, festival-goers will be entertained by Chris Humfrey and his Wild Action crew of native animals.
"Chris will introduce visitors to Gizmo the grey-headed flying fox, Bruce the koala, Titch the swamp wallaby, Gonzo the tawny frog mouth, and many more animal friends.
"The festival is once again taking place in conjunction with the Boroondara Farmers Market, so you can pick up all of your fresh produce, meet some native animals and learn sustainable living tips all in one place."
