The City of Boroondara has partnered with the Boroondara Farmers Market to host an Emergency Services Family Fun Day on Saturday 20 October to celebrate Community Safety Month and Children’s Week.
In celebration of Children’s Week, there will be a range of activities to entertain the whole family. Children can meet some of Australia’s most loved native animals, explore the toy libraries or tackle the climbing wall.
There will be opportunities to learn about vital emergency services and how residents can keep their families and community safe and healthy, and children can jump into a police car, ambulance or fire truck.
A diverse range of market stalls, combined with a scavenger hunt, will mean there’s something for everyone.
Mayor of Boroondara Cr Jim Parke encouraged residents to head down to the event and make the most of the activities.
“This will be an exciting opportunity for the Boroondara community to meet the emergency service workers in our area. It is important our City is a safe and comfortable place to live, and we all play a role in achieving this.
“I hope to see many residents at the event enjoying the celebrations while supporting the Boroondara Farmers Market,” said Cr Parke.
Children’s Week celebrates the talents, skills, achievements and rights of all children.
