Expressions of Interest Now Open.

The Party Art Prize (PARTY) offers two opportunities to secure $1,500 to present work from any creative discipline (excluding those deemed to be of a concert nature) at the Kew Court House during 2017.

Exhibited from July to September as part of the Kew Court House program, and accessible to the public during the usual business hours of the venue, PARTY provides financial support for successful applicants to present work in a non-traditional setting and increased accessibility for the community to view the work in the venue.

PARTY provides support for successful applicants to pursue high levels of artistic endeavour by providing financial assistance to members of the creative community within Boroondara to present artwork from one-night to three months at Kew Court House.

Kew Court House is Boroondara’s hub for showcasing Melbourne’s, and indeed Australia’s, ground breaking emerging and established music artists. The venue is also available for private, community and commercial hirers for performances, exhibitions, and functions.

Art Prize Eligibility:

  • The individual/group must live, and/or base their studio practice in Boroondara

Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Artistic merit of the proposed artwork
  • Suitability of artwork for installation in the venue
  • Evidence that the installation assists Council to achieve its Vision that Boroondara is the home for vibrant and engaging arts experiences for all residents in order to enrich the lives of the Boroondara community.
