Libraries Services Action Plan 2020-25

Boroondara Libraries Services play an important and valued role in shaping the cultural and social character of Boroondara.

The Boroondara Libraries Services Action Plan 2020-25 aims to ensure libraries continue to support our community as hubs for creativity, knowledge and connectivity. The Plan allows our libraries to respond to current and future community needs for services, collections, resources and technology.

Boroondara’s library services offer a variety of resources and programs across the municipality to help increase social inclusion and build community connections, including:

  • Bilingual storytime
  • Activities for culturally significant dates such as Diwali and Lunar New Year
  • Collections available in languages other than English
  • Free group sessions to improve conversational English

Multicultural Action Plan 2019-23

City of Boroondara values diversity and actively demonstrates our commitment to equality and inclusivity.

The City of Boroondara Multicultural Action Plan (MAP) 2019-23 is Council’s overarching commitment to supporting, promoting and celebrating our increasingly culturally diverse population.

The MAP provides Council with a framework for creating a welcoming community so that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in community life and feel a sense of connection and belonging.
