Wednesday 30 August 2017 marks National Meals on Wheels Day, a day to celebrate the service and recognise our volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to the program.

Meals on Wheels provides valuable assistance to thousands of Australians every year. Our volunteers are at the heart of a service that keeps people living independently in their own homes by monitoring their wellbeing and providing peace of mind for family members.

At a time when things are becoming more impersonal, Meals on Wheels provides opportunities for people to work, volunteer and help in their own communities.

Good food and flexibility are at the heart of Meals on Wheels. We use fresh seasonal produce and rely less on convenience products. The culinary influence of our multi-cultural society is reflected in the recipes and our menus provide clients with many choices, including special diets.
