Are you looking to volunteer in 2017? Come along to the 12th Annual Boroondara Volunteer Expo and learn about the many ways you can make a difference.

From 1pm to 6pm on 1 March 2017, connect with over 50 community organisations from a diverse range of sectors and causes in one place at the Boroondara Volunteer Expo.

This free event attracts hundreds of prospective volunteers each year. “I have been impressed by the range of volunteer opportunities on offer at the Volunteer Expo,” says local resident and BassCare volunteer Matthew Eddy-Leal.

Within the City of Boroondara, 24 per cent of residents engage in some form of volunteering, the highest rate of any municipality in metro Melbourne.

Volunteers make a valuable contribution to community life – and receive health and wellbeing benefits from their volunteer activity.

The Annual Boroondara Volunteer Expo is organised by the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre (BVRC). The BVRC encourages active participation in the life of the community by promoting, supporting and resourcing volunteering within the City of Boroondara and surrounding areas.

The Boroondara Volunteer Expo is your once-a-year opportunity to discover how you can contribute to your community – don’t miss out!
