Over 23 km of the Yarra River runs through Boroondara, with approximately 164 hectares of Yarra River land falling within the council area.
As part of our commitment to supporting biodiversity and sustainable environmental management practices, we are proud to work with Melbourne Water on delivering the Yarra Strategic Plan (Burndap Birrarung burndap umarkoo) which protects the Yarra River, and its parklands for future generations.
