Over Easter (Friday 19 to Monday 22 April) and on Anzac Day (Thursday 25 April), some of our services and centres may be closed or have different hours. Please see details of all affected services.

Don't throw away an amazing chance to share your musical ability and talent at this highly-respected competition - register now for the Boroondara Eisteddfod.

The 2019 event will be held at the esteemed Hawthorn Arts Centre and is open to everyone. Make sure the musicians in your life know that the window to register for Eisteddfod closes on Monday 1 April.

This year's Eisteddfod will have 47 separate sections, catering to both solo and group performers across a range of vocal and instrumental categories, with first, second and third places awarded for each competitive section.

For the first time in Eisteddfod's history, a wider range of budding musicians will be encouraged to take part in new non-competitive sections that will provide further performance opportunities and valuable feedback to young performers. There will also be a range of masterclass-style workshops to help VCE students perfect their performances ahead of their final assessments.

Additionally, this year will also include a new partnership with the Victorian Bands' League, welcoming community brass and wind ensembles of all ages to compete in sections for Brass Bands, Stage Bands and Concert Bands.

A selection of winners and performers from the 2019 Boroondara Eisteddfod will also be invited back to perform in a special Encore concert evening at the Hawthorn Arts Centre.

Whether you are a singer, an instrumentalist or part of a band or group - we hope to see you at the exciting event that is the Boroondara Eisteddfod.
