We’d like to wish you a safe and happy Easter, and remind you that some of our services and centres have different hours between 30 March and 2 April.
Where times are different from usual, details are shown below.
The public holidays over Easter are:
- Good Friday 30 March
- Easter Saturday 31 March
- Easter Sunday 1 April
- Easter Monday 2 April
Household bin collections
There will be no kerbside household waste, recyclables or green waste collections on Good Friday 30 March 2018.
If your regular waste collection service falls on Good Friday this year, your collection will take place on Saturday 31 March 2018.
No other dates are affected. Collections return to normal on Monday 2 April.
Customer Service counters at Camberwell, Kew and Hawthorn will be closed from Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April. On these public holidays, calls to 9278 4444 will be automatically transferred to the emergency after-hours service. Contact us.
You'll still be able to access many of our services online though, including:
- Making payments for building and planning permits, parking fines, Council invoices, business registrations, animal fines, or rates
- Booking a hard waste or green waste collection
- Applying for a Residents Parking Permit
- Renewing a Disabled Parking Permit
- Renewing your pet registration.
All library branches are closed for the Easter public holidays.
But while the doors may be closed, the library never closes online.
Access our library services online to read journals or articles like ANZ Reference Centre Plus or ProQuest Research Library, access eBooks and audio books such as Overdrive, Bolinda Borrow Box or Storybox or even watch free films and documentaries via Beamafilm.
And you can always manage your library account or reserve items online anytime.
