As directed by the Victorian Chief Health Officer, a number of our facilities and services are closed or offering a modified service in line with the current restrictions.

Our essential services including: waste collection, emergency relief and recovery, emergency asset work and maintenance, aged and community care, and animal welfare continue to operate to ensure we meet the needs of our community.

The Department of Health and Human Services is the best source of official information about COVID-19 as the lead body coordinating the response to the pandemic in Victoria.

COVID-19 testing

If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 including shortness of breath, fever, cough or a sore throat, you need to get tested.

The closest testing locations to Boroondara are:

  • Box Hill Hospital: 8 Arnold Street, Box Hill (enter via the hospital entry point at the corner of Nelson Road and Arnold Street)
  • Prahran Town Hall GP Respiratory Clinic: 180 Greville Street, Prahran

  • Alfred Hospital Respiratory Clinic: 55 Commercial Road, Melbourne

Our support team can arrange local emergency relief support or refer you to partner organisations and agencies that can help if you:

  • need assistance with food and material aid
  • are struggling due to financial hardship
