Celebrate International Day of People with Disability

International Day of People with Disability is on 3 December. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrates their achievements and contributions.

We are committed to making the City of Boroondara an inclusive and accessible place. We recently invited community feedback to inform the review and update of our Disability Action Plan to ensure it meets the current needs of our community and identifies opportunities to improve inclusion and access for people with disability. We look forward to sharing the updated plan in early 2023.

This year, we are proud to showcase artists from QArt Studio to recognise important achievements and contributions of people with disability.

Through Our Eyes is a community exhibition of artworks by talented artists with intellectual disabilities. Their pieces will be on display at the Town Hall Gallery from 8 November to 17 December.

For more about this exhibition and other events, visit our Celebrating International Day of People with Disability news page, or call (03) 9278 4017.
