Standing against family violence

We are committed to preventing family violence and stand together with the community on this important issue.

Family violence covers a range of behaviours committed by a person against a family member. While physical violence may be the most visible form, other forms of violence such as controlling or coercive behaviours, and verbal and emotional abuse can be equally as harmful.

The annual international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, which runs from 25 November until 10 December
2020, creates awareness, facilitates conversations, and challenges the issue of violence against women and gender inequality. To mark it, we are holding a number of online activities.
