Book a bundled green waste collection

Are you planning a tidy-up of overhanging branches and shrubs in your garden? Take advantage of our bundled green waste collection to recycle the prunings.

Autumn is a good time to prune and make sure our streets and footpaths are safe for everyone. Branches and shrubs overhanging public spaces can create hazards for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Low-hanging branches can hit pedestrians, and ground-level shrubs can block footpaths and become tripping or slip hazards.

Each eligible property in Boroondara can book one free bundled green waste collection for April, which can be used to recycle up to two cubic metres of bundled and tied green waste. To guarantee pick-up, bundles must be securely tied with non-plastic string or twine and neatly stacked. Green waste is sent for composting, together with food organic and garden organic waste.

Collections will begin on Monday 28 March and end on Friday 29 April.

Bookings open on Monday 14 March and close on Friday 22 April at 2 pm.
