Join like-minded neighbours at this free workshop. Presented by a sustainable food expert from Cultivating Community, learn simple techniques for planning, buying, cooking and storing food. Also learn how the food you buy and eat helps improve your health, budget and the environment.

Integrated pest management

The good, the bad and the ugly!

Gardens are a natural habitat for many insects.

However, while some garden insects are great helpers in the garden, others can cause a lot of harm. Integrated pest management is an approach to reduce damage to your garden and attract useful species.

Expert Richard Rowe from Sustainable Gardening Australia will talk you through mechanical, cultural, biological and as a last resort, low impact chemical strategies, to help create a thriving and productive garden with all the right bugs.

When: 7pm to 9pm, Wednesday 3 April 2019
Where: Boroondara Room, Council offices, 8 Inglesby Road, Camberwell
Cost: free
