Hot Options is a collection of paintings documenting the contents of Linda Judge’s wardrobe from 1989 to now. Over time, the ever-increasing body of work has become a record of changing fashions and styles, and a diary of the artist’s life.

Individualism

This group exhibition celebrates the creativity of Swinburne Senior Secondary College’s Year 12 students from 2018. Across a wide range of mediums including photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and textiles, these artworks showcase the young artists’ reflection and realisation across a range of topics and themes.

In Real Time

In Real Time is the first exhibition at Town Hall Gallery for 2019. Celebrating the history of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA), this exhibition features work by 18 past winners of the annual AGRA Australian Art Excellence Award alongside realist paintings from the Town Hall Gallery Collection.

Delineation

This exhibition highlights the diverse world of contemporary drawing practice in Australia. The featured artists employ various ways of using lines, continually challenging our expectations between an object and its representation. The results are experimental, sculptural, animated and altogether exciting for the eye to behold.

What's on at Kew Court House

Jackie Bornstein: Women in Jazz

One of Melbourne’s most captivating singers, Jackie Bornstein presents her brand new show, Women in Jazz. Together with her remarkable band, Jackie shares the stories of female composers who have become unstoppable forces in shaping the sound of jazz. The program will include the work of contemporary composers as well as the songs of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Bernice Petkere and Dorothy Fields.

2019 Boroondara Eisteddfod

Entries are now open

Talented solo musicians and ensembles of all ages are invited to participate in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious music competitions across April, May and June.

The 2019 Boroondara Eisteddfod solo sections include Piano, Classical Vocal, Contemporary Vocal, Strings, Woodwind and Brass, with ensemble sections for Wind and Brass Bands, Primary and High School Ensembles, Chamber Ensembles and Choirs.

Entries to the 2019 Boroondara Eisteddfod are now open and will close on Monday 1 April 2019.
