Put Boroondara in the picture

Calling all photographers! Boroondara’s popular photograph competition is back for 2020 and we encourage everyone to get involved.

This year’s competition was launched at our recent Slide Night Boroondara event held on Thursday 16 January at Camberwell Library.

This is the 4th consecutive year that the competition has run. During this time, hundreds of entries have been received featuring people, places and events that have shaped Boroondara into what it is today.

This year’s competition theme is Portraits of Boroondara. We are interested in photographs taken in Boroondara of people who have worked, lived and played here.

This is your opportunity to dig through the historical archives or put your expert camera skills to use to capture some creative shots of your own. Entries can be submitted under 2 categories:

  • Young photographers competition (school-aged category)
Enter your best photograph taken from 2017 to today.
  • Open photograph competition (no age restriction)
Enter as many photographs as you like from past or present day.

Entries are open until 11.59pm, Thursday 30 April 2020.

Boroondara Library Service staff can assist you in scanning your photos at any of our 6 branches.

For more information and to enter visit Boroondara Photograph Competition: Portraits of Boroondara or call 9278 4666.
