We have temporarily closed a number of facilities and made changes to services to protect the community and staff from the risks associated with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The health and safety of our community and staff is our top priority and we believe this decision is in everyone’s best interest.
Until further notice, the following facilities and services will be closed:
Arts and culture centres
Hawthorn Arts Centre, Town Hall Gallery and Kew Court House.
Children and young people's facilities
360 Boroondara Youth Centre and Kew Traffic School.
Customer Service counters
Customer Service Centre and the Planning and Building counter at the Camberwell Civic Centre and the customer service counters at Hawthorn Arts Centre and Kew Library.
Ashburton Library, Balwyn Library, Camberwell Library, Greythorn Library Lounge, Hawthorn Library and Kew Library.
Leisure and aquatic facilities
Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, Boroondara Sports Complex, Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre and Kew Recreation Centre.
Boroondara Tennis Centre and Freeway Golf Course.
All other services will continue to run as usual, including our Maternal and Child Health services, immunisation program and aged care services to ensure residents continue to receive essential services.
However, some services may need to be prioritised for our most vulnerable clients, and there may be disruptions as the situation progresses.
We are monitoring the progress of the pandemic and will update you if any other services are impacted.
