We are developing a draft Reconciliation Strategy to formalise our commitment to reconciliation in our community.

The strategy is being developed in partnership with key stakeholders from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the broader community.

It will express the community's vision for reconciliation and include a clear roadmap for implementing reconciliation initiatives in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader community.

Community consultation to inform the strategy is open until Saturday 31 July 2021.

Have your say on our draft Reconciliation Strategy.

Consultation will:

  • Ensure the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are heard and respected, and the issues and priorities important to them are understood, acknowledged and considered
  • Facilitate authentic relationship building and strengthening between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities sector and the City of Boroondara
  • Understand the broad community vision for reconciliation in Boroondara
  • Understand how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Council and the broader community can work together to progress and celebrate reconciliation in Boroondara

The draft strategy will be presented for public comment in November 2021.
