Rosemary Chapple – Boroondara Volunteer of the Year

For more than 8 years, Rosemary has volunteered through the Youth Referral and Independent Person Program (YRIPP), supporting and advising young offenders at police stations in the City of Boroondara and beyond. Rosemary draws on YRIPP resources and her knowledge of the legal system to ensure young people understand their rights and are connected to support services.

"Volunteering is a rewarding experience. Through YRIPP I get the opportunity to help a young person at a particularly vulnerable time in their life. The role of an Independent Person combines my interest in young people and love of teaching legal studies," Rosemary said.
