Debbie McColl-Davis – Boroondara Volunteer of the Year

Debbie has been named the 2016 Boroondara Volunteer of the Year for many years of distinguished volunteer service to the City of Boroondara.

Debbie is currently President of Kewfest16 and has been involved with the Kew Festival for 28 years, including 8 terms as president.

She has volunteered for 14 years with the Kew Lioness group including 2 terms as president. She has been on the school councils of Kew East Primary School, Canterbury Girls Secondary College (15 years) and Kew High School (6 years) and shared her expertise at Camberwell Showtime (12 years).

Debbie has also been on the City of Boroondara advisory committees for both Hays Paddock and Kew Court House and is currently part of the Kew Historical Society management committee.

Barbara Bedford – Special commendation

Barbara was awarded a special commendation for her valuable volunteering in the City of Boroondara. Barbara has been volunteering for more than 60 years, of which 32 years have been with Guide Dogs Victoria in different capacities.
