Rates payments
Council offers residents a range of payment options for their rates. The rates notices are sent out annually in early August.
Options for payment
- One lump sum payment with a 2.5 per cent discount on the total rates bill, if payment is made in full by Wednesday 31 August 2011.
- Ten monthly Direct Debit instalments from your nominated bank account. When opting for this method, you must complete a Direct Debit application form and return it to Council by 26 August 2011. If you'd like a hard copy of the form, call the Customer Service Centre on 9278 4444. You don't need to complete this form again if you selected this option last year.
- Four instalments due on these dates:
- 30 September 2011
- 30 November 2011
- 29 February 2012
- 31 May 2012
- Payment in full rates are due by:
- 15 February 2012
Please note that payments received after 30 September 2011 will not be accepted as an instalment payment and will be treated as part payment only - therefore your rates will need to be paid in full by 15 February 2012.

Have you changed your details?
If you have changed your mailing details, complete the Change Contact Details form and return it to Council.
If there has been a change of ownership, or change of name due to marriage or other reasons, or an owner is deceased, it will be necessary for additional documentation to be supplied to Council for rate records to be amended (for example, a copy of title or a copy of marriage certificate).
Financial hardship/payment arrangements
