Payments and rates

The City of Boroondara offers a range of payment options, depending on the type of payment you wish to make.

Options for payment

  1. One lump sum payment with a 2.5 per cent discount on the total rates bill, if payment is made in full by Monday 30 August 2011.
  2. Ten monthly Direct Debit instalments from your nominated bank account. When opting for this method, you must complete a Direct Debit application form and return it to Council by 26 August 2011. If you'd like a hard copy of the form, call the Customer Service Centre on 9278 4444. You don't need to complete this form again if you selected this option last year.
  3. Four instalments due on these dates:
    • 30 September 2011
    • 30 November 2011
    • 29 February 2012
    • 31 May 2012
  4. Payment in full rates are due by:
    • 15 February 2012

Please note that payments received after 30 September 2011 will not be accepted as an instalment payment and will be treated as part payment only - therefore your rates will need to be paid in full by 15 February 2012.
