Parking fines
No one likes parking fines, but time limits on parking spaces ensure we all have fair access to parking facilities.
Parking and traffic laws exist throughout Victoria to ensure the safe and fair use of our roads for the benefit of everyone.
Your responsibility
People often park illegally because it's temporarily convenient for them. They don't stop to think how this action may adversely affect others or put themselves or others in danger. As a licensed driver, you are encouraged to maintain your knowledge of the road rules and to make appropriate and safe choices.
Council responsibility
We will ensure:
- parking spaces are shared fairly by the community
- motor and pedestrian traffic is not obstructed or inconvenienced
- any danger caused by unsafe parking is minimised.
