Macleay and Myrtle parks traffic and parking review

We are improving traffic and parking at Macleay and Myrtle parks in Balwyn.

Council adopted the traffic and parking strategy for Macleay and Myrtle parks at the Services Special Committee meeting on 15 December 2011.

The strategy aims to improve park user safety and vehicle movements within and around the parks. It outlines a range of measures to improve traffic flow and safety, including:

  • New raised pavements and roundabout.
  • Drop-off and 'permit zone' parking restrictions in surrounding streets.
  • A Green Travel Plan and additional bicycle parking.

These measures will be implemented progressively over the next 18 months. The parks will remain open during this time.
