At its meeting held on 27 April 2015, Boroondara City Council made the ‘Meeting Procedure (Additional Amendments 2014) Local Law’ the purpose of which was to amend the City of Boroondara Meeting Procedure Local Law (2007) to:
- Improve compatibility between the Local Law and the Act with respect to the procedures and voting when electing the Mayor.
- Introduce prerequisites for questions submitted to Public Question Time at Council meetings and impose restrictions on the number of questions that a person may submit.

Please note: a penalty unit under a local law made pursuant to Part 5 of the Local Government Act 1989 is $100 (as specified under section 110(2) of the Sentencing Act 1991).
