Strategic Planning

Council is responsible for the planning strategies that guide future developments in Boroondara.

We develop strategies and policies to ensure the conservation and enhancement of Boroondara's high quality urban environment, including our neighbourhood character, amenity and liveability.

Planning strategies and policies may affect the entire City or be specific to key sites or areas.

Our Strategic Planning department also maintains and updates the Boroondara Planning Scheme in order to encourage appropriate planning outcomes throughout the City.
