Residential Design Policy

This Policy was developed to help protect the high level of residential amenity within Boroondara.

From the Residential Urban Character Study, Council has prepared and adopted its own Residential Design Policy (RDP), which outlines Boroondara's expectations with respect to development of two or more dwellings on a lot in a residential zone.

This document is a tool to aid applicants and planning officers. Council's Residential Design Policy has specific regard to the existing neighbourhood character of the City of Boroondara, and sets out a list of standards that new development should address.

This policy was reviewed and updated on 12 December 2011.
